Systems Engineer for Test Systems

The Test Systems department is looking for a systems engineer for test systems at the Ulm site as soon as possible. The department is responsible for delivering test system projects for production and customer testers used in radar, electronic warfare and avionics systems for vehicles, aircraft, helicopters and ships.

• Designing test systems based on customer requirements, taking standard components into account
• Defining overall system requirements and deriving system architectures
• Designing complex system and subsystem components and their interfaces
• Defining the overall verification and qualification in coordination with the responsible partners
• Planning and carrying out integration, commissioning and testing
• Designing test concepts and the related test environment
• Creating development, product and verification documents
• Taking responsibility for work packages regarding quality, costs, schedules and risk assessment
• Supporting customers during order processing as well as integration and acceptance
• Participating in field tests, measurement campaigns and customer demonstrations
• Creating and reviewing cost estimates and helping with bid preparation

• Completed university degree in electrical engineering, physics or comparable
• Relevant work experience in systems engineering
• Experience in one of these areas: electrical assemblies, signal processing, hardware and software, verification or test concept creation
• Basic knowledge of high-frequency technology and/or optronics is an advantage
• High level of initiative and an analytical and structured way of working
• Very good communication skills, teamwork ability and social competence
• Willingness to undergo an extended security clearance (Ü2)
• Fluent English and good German skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally on business
