Production Worker / Foundry Mechanic, Four Shift System

Hydro Aluminium Metal is seeking staff to produce aluminium extrusion billets in Rackwitz. The role covers production from molten metal to products ready for shipment, working in a four shift system.

• Carry out all tasks involved in producing extrusion billets, from molten metal to products ready for shipment, including:
• Prepare casting furnaces and the casting trough before pouring
• Load the casting furnaces
• Transport materials within the plant
• Help load and unload the chamber homogenisation equipment
• Visually inspect cast billets for surface quality
• Carry out manual ultrasonic testing of billets
• Record quality results and inform the shift supervisor
• Follow all work instructions and workplace safety, environmental protection and fire safety rules

• Completed vocational training, ideally in metalworking
• Career changers with an interest in and a good feel for the work are welcome
• Crane and forklift licences or willingness to obtain them
• Experience handling molten metal is desirable
• Confident computer skills
• Reliable approach and ability to work in a team
• Strong awareness of quality and safety
• Willingness to work in a four shift system
• Good German skills, at least B1 with a certificate
