Design Engineer Vehicle Technology

Do you like to develop technical solutions that really hit the road? With us, you will accompany components and assemblies for recreational vehicles and caravans from the initial idea through the prototype to series production. Location: Wangen im Allgäu | Department: Vehicle Technology Design | Start: as soon as possible

• you design and supervise assemblies for recreational vehicles and caravans from the initial idea to series production
• you develop and optimize design and construction variants with a view to technology and economy
• you review customer and sales requirements for feasibility and develop suitable technical solutions
• you accompany prototypes, sample structures and new products up to successful series launch
• technical documentation, lists as well as project-related and series-related calculations are also part of your area of responsibility
• you work closely with sales, customers, quality and production

• a degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable technical field, ideally with a focus on lightweight construction
• alternatively an advanced technical training and corresponding professional experience
• experience in product development and in the design of components and assemblies
• understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes and ability to reliably assess technical contexts
• proficient in 3D CAD systems, ideally Inventor, and experience with ERP systems
