Precision Optics Instructor

JENAER BILDUNGSZENTRUM SCHOTT CARL ZEISS und JENOPTIK is looking for a precision optics instructor to join its training team. The role involves practical and theoretical training for apprentices and support for people taking further training courses.

• Teach practical and theoretical knowledge and basic skills in spherical and flat optics in line with training regulations
• Continuously adapt and improve learning content to meet workplace, school and examination requirements
• Provide educational support to apprentices and people taking further training courses
• Put workplace safety, health and environmental protection requirements into practice
• Ensure a high standard of training
• Provide educational support to apprentices and course participants
• Serve on the examination committee

• Completed vocational training as a precision optician or relevant professional experience
• Proof of passing the trainer aptitude examination (AEVO). If you do not hold this qualification, you must be willing to complete it or related training alongside your job
• Experience supporting apprentices is desirable
• Teaching skills and empathy
• Strong communication and assertiveness, strong social skills, initiative and commitment
• Flexibility, reliability, ability to work under pressure and independently
• Ability to motivate apprentices and course participants
