Development Engineer CBRN Decontamination Systems

As part of the development department in the CBRN decontamination product area at Kärcher, you develop decontamination systems, from preparing offers to supporting them throughout their service life. Graduates are also welcome.

• Analyze customer tenders and help prepare offers (technical descriptions, calculations etc.)
• For in-house developments, turn the requirements specification into a functional specification
• Concept design, 3D model development and detailed design including calculations based on customer requirements and legal rules
• Provide order documents (e.g. order sheets, drawings) in the ERP system (SAP R/3)
• Request components from suppliers with purchasing, create requirement specifications for subcontractors and support them technically during implementation
• Create the basis for training materials and manuals and instruct service staff
• Advise the after-sales department to keep the device technically up to date

• Completed bachelor's degree (e.g. mechanical engineering) or comparable qualification/training
• Ideally professional experience in customer-specific special machinery construction and handling technically complex projects
• In-depth knowledge of thermodynamics and hydraulics is an advantage
• Experience designing complex assemblies with CATIA V5 (especially complete mobile systems, sheet metal parts and welded assemblies) and their legal requirements
• Knowledge of SAP R/3 for creating, structuring and maintaining design bills of materials
• Good English skills (at least B2+/C1) are required, further foreign languages are an advantage
