Apprenticeship as Construction Materials Tester

Construction materials testers are specialists who examine the properties of asphalt types and asphalt pavements for road construction projects, e.g., compactability, stress-strain behavior, permeability, plastic properties. For this purpose, construction materials testers create a wide variety of analyses and tests in the laboratory and on construction sites. They work, among other things, on hydraulic/electric presses, triaxial devices, and shear machines. The area of responsibility includes the preparation, execution, and evaluation of physico-technical investigations and test series on reclaimed asphalt and construction materials with tar and pitch-containing components and bituminous binders.
