As part of the integrated dual study program, you will complete the apprenticeship as an electronics technician for operating technology (m/f/d) and study Technical Building Services at the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences in Gelsenkirchen in parallel.

At the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences in Gelsenkirchen, you will acquire engineering fundamentals and deal with energy-efficient and sustainable solutions for technical building services; the dual study program lasts 4 years and concludes with a Bachelor of Engineering, the bachelor thesis is written with us on a practical topic; your apprenticeship starts on 01.08.2027, the study program on 01.10.2027; parallel to your studies, you will complete the apprenticeship as an electronics technician for operating technology in the first 4 semesters; parts of the practical training take place in cooperation with Kolping Bildung Deutschland gGmbH; in the further course of studies, your operational focus lies in technical system planning: deepening knowledge of building services trades, participation in projects; insights into internal sales: calculation, quotation preparation, customer consulting; networking of building services systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, shading, fire protection) into an energy-efficient overall system; accompanying technicians to existing buildings and new construction projects, supporting installation, commissioning, and optimization; setting up measurement, control, and regulation technology as well as networks and cloud systems for management levels; participation in programming of automation stations and visualization of technical systems; support in maintenance, fault analysis, and energy-efficient optimization of systems; creation and editing of control schematics, technical drawings, circuit, current flow, and wiring diagrams; technical clarifications, project planning, selection of suitable measurement, control, and regulation devices; collaboration with project engineers, technicians, and fitters in planning, implementation, and documentation; insights into calculation, quotation preparation, and technical customer consulting through close cooperation between system planning and internal sales; after successful completion, entry into technical system planning with perspective on project management or sales.
