Project Engineer – Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Plumbing (HVAC/MEP)

KGT – KIRCHNER Gebäudetechnik, a KIRCHNER Group company, combines planning and expert consulting expertise across the entire field of building services engineering. An experienced Project Engineer (m/f/d) for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing is sought for the team in Potsdam. The planning services cover HOAI service phases 1–9, taking economic and ecological aspects into account.

• Advising clients on the relevant building systems and suitable solutions
• Examining customer requirements in detail to define the scope of work and framework plans for the planned systems
• Preparing the basis for planning, including preliminary and design planning, in close coordination with the client and architect
• Independently planning heating, air conditioning, ventilation and plumbing systems for commercial, residential and special-purpose construction in accordance with HOAI service phases 1–7
• Performing cooling-load calculations and thermal building simulations in accordance with VDI 2078
• Planning ventilation systems in accordance with VDI 6022
• Planning drinking-water networks in accordance with VDI 6023
• Preparing the required documents for approval procedures for systems requiring approval
• Preparing bills of quantities
• Developing and preparing tendering procedures
• Working closely with designers, particularly by providing information and coordinating the planning process
• Coordinating with architects, other specialist planners and authorities
• Ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets in close coordination with project management

• Completed degree in building services engineering, energy and building technology, technical building equipment or a comparable qualification; alternatively, a technician qualification with relevant professional experience
• Several years of experience planning HVAC systems in technical building equipment
• Sound knowledge of relevant standards and regulations, including HOAI, VOB, VDI guidelines and GEG
• Confident use of industry-standard CAD and calculation software
• Initial experience with BIM methods is desirable
• Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style
• Team spirit and strong communication skills, with the ability to consider the customer's perspective
