Employee for Inpatient Billing

The experienced inpatient billing team at Klinikum Stuttgart is looking for a reliable and committed clerk (m/f/d) to process, check and maintain patient and service data for a defined area of responsibility, and to occasionally support the SAP module IS-H / customizing.

• Billing of inpatient, partial inpatient and pre-inpatient hospital services in the somatic area (DRGs, hybrid DRGs, PEPPs and STäB); billing of supplementary fees, other services and elective services to health insurers, patients and other payers
• Processing and monitoring electronic data exchange under § 301 SGB V
• Contact person (m/f/d) for our patients, health insurers and other external and internal bodies on administrative matters of inpatient hospital billing
• Checking the data of newly admitted patients including cost security and making any necessary corrections
• Monitoring and processing cost approvals and inpatient co-payments
• Creating cost estimates for patients and helping to review open claims
• Carrying out invoice corrections
• Support with the SAP module IS-H / customizing

• Successfully completed training as a healthcare business clerk (m/f/d) or comparable qualification
• Confidence with the current regulations of the KHEntgG, such as the current DRG catalogs including agreements, ICD-10 and OPS-301
• Knowledge of inpatient and partial inpatient billing in the KHEntgG area
• Technical understanding of specific IT applications and good MS Office skills, especially Excel, openness to new IT applications
• Experience with the SAP module IS-H
• Very good German skills, spoken and written, are mandatory, as communication with payers and internal departments is mainly in German
