Your tasks: Medical participation and co-responsibility in hospital hygiene and infection prevention; Advice to clinical departments on complex infectiological issues; Participation in the detection, assessment and control of nosocomial infections and outbreak events; Conduct and further development of hygienic-microbiological rounds and inspections; Advice on multi-resistant pathogens, isolation and prevention measures; Participation in the creation, updating and implementation of hygiene plans, standards and standard operating procedures; Cooperation with microbiology, nursing service, quality management, occupational safety, medical technology and other relevant professional groups; Expert advice on construction, conversion and renovation measures from a hygienic and infectiological perspective; Participation in the development and implementation of strategies for infection prevention and antibiotic stewardship; Participation in training and further education events for medical and nursing staff; Participation in quality assurance and further development of the institute's structures; Participation in senior physician duties and organizational development of the area.

You have one of the following qualifications: Prerequisite is either a specialist (m/f/d) in hygiene and environmental medicine, or a specialist (m/f/d) in internal medicine and infectiology with interest in acquiring the additional training in medical hygiene, or a specialist (m/f/d) in internal medicine with additional training in medical hygiene and additional training in infectiology. In addition, we would like: sound practical experience in hospital hygiene and/or clinical infectiology; pronounced interest in issues of infection prevention and patient safety; enjoyment of interdisciplinary cooperation and advising clinical teams; a high degree of personal responsibility, communication skills and organizational talent; willingness to actively shape the further development of hospital hygiene at the hospital; ideally experience in outbreak management, surveillance, antibiotic stewardship and quality management.
