Software Developer Automation Systems

At our Schwarzenbek site we are looking for a Software Developer (m/f/d) for automation systems, starting immediately. Körber Technologies develops tailor-made solutions in machinery, plants, software, measuring devices, flavors and services, with a focus on the tobacco and consumer goods industry.

• You handle design tasks including deadline tracking and, where necessary, coordination of content with MCR Order Fulfillment across the full range of technologies used in different machine generations
• You develop, revise and validate software solutions (PLC, HMI, …) for machines and simulation setups, including error analysis and troubleshooting
• You support prototypes and carry out customer trips to verify software programs
• You create, extend or contribute to risk assessments for new products and significant machine changes
• You are responsible for software-related content in the order fulfillment process, such as software bills of materials in SAP, installation packages, and specifications for documentation, manuals, online help, assembly instructions and checklists
• You coordinate software development tasks with internal and external interfaces and contribute to development projects, special customer solutions and the creation of requirement and functional specifications in your area
• You are the contact person for design questions for MCR Order Fulfillment, Purchasing, Assembly, TKD and Technical Support, as well as for KTE-US, KTE-F, KTE-HU and KTE-MY (USA, France, Hungary, Malaysia)

• You have a completed degree in electrical engineering or technical computer science
• You have very good knowledge of programming PLC systems according to IEC 61131, for example with Beckhoff TwinCAT or Siemens STEP 7
• You have good knowledge of process automation, automation structures, network topologies, real-time systems and measurement and control technology
• You have experience in software development for production machines, including process engineering principles, workflows and HMI visualization systems
• You have knowledge of standards, safety guidelines and regulations for the electrical equipment of production machines, in particular EN 60204, as well as in creating risk assessments and safety design
• You have experience measuring electrical and physical quantities on the electrical systems of production machines, as well as knowledge of production processes in mechanical engineering
• You work confidently with collaborative development and management systems such as MS Visual Studio, Azure DevOps and Git, as well as SAP and common MS Office products
• You work in a structured, systematic and independent way and take responsibility
• You bring analytical skills, a very good understanding of numbers and abstract thinking
• You enjoy working effectively in large interdisciplinary development teams
• You have fluent German and advanced English, spoken and written
