Technical Project Manager

The Komax Group is a pioneer and market leader in automated wire processing. We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to design and develop technically demanding cable processing solutions.

• Responsible for designing and developing technically demanding cable processing solutions and developing new machines
• Technical clarification and concept creation
• Technical contact from customer inquiry to site acceptance test (SAT) at the customer, and interface function
• Carrying out risk assessments, feasibility studies, and cost analyses and evaluations
• Evaluating and reviewing the requirements specification and turning it into a functional specification
• Developing technical solutions for specification deviations on existing machines/stations and documenting findings for future projects, lessons learned
• Responsible for ensuring quality within the project
• First contact for project managers on technical topics before/with the customer
• Close cooperation with project controlling to identify deviations
• Technical contact in the project and cooperation with technical sales and project management
• Promoting new technologies / new process steps for cable processing within the project
• Reporting to management

• Completed technical degree, e.g. mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable field, alternatively many years of experience in a comparable environment
• Several years of experience in special machine building
• Experience leading sub-projects and project management experience required (IPMA certification desirable)
• Experience in automation and cable processing desirable
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills in a technical environment
• Entrepreneurial understanding and cost awareness
• Confident use of MS Office and experience with 3D systems
• Willingness to travel internationally
• Structured, independent and results-oriented way of working and problem solving
• Strong customer and service orientation
• Assertiveness
• Good written and spoken English
