• Professional and disciplinary leadership of employees and management of the software department
• Definition and further development of the software architecture in Komax SLE and within the business unit
• Structural setup, implementation and compliance of development processes and methods in the software department (operational excellence)
• Continuous improvement and further development of software development processes to increase efficiency and quality
• Definition, implementation and maintenance of the machine control platform
• Implementation of the product roadmap and release management in software
• Ensuring software quality and compliance with development standards in customer and development projects
• Operational planning of programming tasks and keeping project deadlines
• Cooperation and regular exchange/consulting with other departments and stakeholders internally and in the Komax Group, as well as cooperation with external partners (universities, development offices)
• Ensuring compliance with legal and corporate regulations in the software department (Machinery Directive/Machinery Regulation)
• Ensuring documentation of knowledge in the software department

• Successfully completed degree in electrical engineering, computer science or industrial engineering with a focus on software development and/or comparable training
• Several years of experience in programming and in leading programmer teams/departments in machine, device and plant construction required
• Very good knowledge of programming software in high-level languages (C#; C++), PLC (structured text/TwinCat3), optionally image processing (openCV)
• Ideally experience and knowledge in standardization and industrialization of machines, plants and devices
• Agile development methods competence
• Design-to-cost knowledge, first experience in systematic cost optimization
• First experience with lean management methods desirable
• High initiative and sense of responsibility
• Leadership and decision-making skills
• Strategic thinking and entrepreneurial action
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Good English skills, spoken and written
• Willingness to travel internationally
