Mechanical Designer

A Mechanical Designer is sought for the development of systems and their mechanical assemblies in Grafenau.

• Development of systems and their mechanical assemblies, new or adapted designs while keeping to project budget and milestones
• Generating new ideas and developing products, modules and system parts
• Estimating effort and resources for projects relating to mechanical designs
• Carrying out design reviews and design FMEAs
• Creating and releasing technical drawings in the CAD system
• Carrying out preliminary tests and documenting test results for risky designs
• Creating the required CE documentation (risk assessment)
• Technical support of projects from concept to series maturity
• Assembly of self-designed assemblies, process stations and/or system parts and support during commissioning

• Completed technical vocational training with further education as a state-certified mechanical engineering technician (m/f/d), certified designer (m/f/d) or comparable qualification
• Professional experience in special machine building or precision engineering desirable
• Sound expertise in using CAD systems
• Experience with PLM and PDM systems
• Confident use of MS Office applications
• Confident German and English skills, spoken and written
• Technical understanding and spatial imagination
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Independent, structured and reliable way of working
