About this Apprenticeship
LBBW is one of Germany's leading banks and an innovative, international company in the financial sector. We are a reliable bank and know what it means to change. Digitalization, agility, and efficiency are not just buzzwords for us, but constant companions of our own development. Because only those who transform themselves understand what it takes. We offer an environment that promotes personal and professional development. With over 10,000 employees, we shape the future of the financial world together #CreatingNew. The Non-Financial Risk Management division creates the prerequisites and framework conditions for agile and secure work in the bank. A central role is played by Group Security, which establishes an appropriate and uniform security level across the LBBW Group. For Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, the security of information processing is a central component of business policy. Ensuring the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of information processing determines our business success and that of our customers. In recent years, the associated information risks have increased significantly in terms of relevance and share of corporate risks. This applies particularly to cyber risks. Attackers use ever more sophisticated methods and advanced technologies. Therefore, the task is to continuously develop effective defense strategies and implement intelligent defense mechanisms. Sounds like your interests? Then we look forward to your application and will prepare you in the 18-month trainee program as a high-potential candidate individually, purposefully, and professionally for your challenging role with us.
What You'll Learn
- In the focus area, you support the expansion and optimization of preventive protective measures. This includes creating appropriate security awareness, advising departments and projects in the sense of a security-by-design approach, and the collection, aggregation, and evaluation of threat intelligence data.
- You are part of the Second Line of Defense and develop and implement security standards in the team along existing regulations, laws, and guidelines.
- Together with your colleagues, you establish stringent monitoring to keep risks and the implementation of security measures in view at all times. You work closely with our Data Protection, IT Security, and IT Risk Management.
- Despite all protective measures, security incidents can never be completely ruled out. Should the worst case occur, we rely on your support within the framework of a 24/7 Security Incident Response Team.
Requirements
- You have completed a university degree in information technology, risk or security management, or are about to graduate. In the selection process, you convince with a successfully completed cognitive performance test.
- Through internships or working student positions, you have already gained initial practical experience in the field of information security and risk management.
- In exchanges with others, you can communicate your concerns appropriately and use your cooperation and negotiation skills. You can express yourself in German and English at least at C1 level.
- You approach assigned tasks actively and solution-oriented. With your creative thinking and affinity for new developments and technologies, you can contribute to our team.
