Apprenticeship as Electronics Technician for Automation Technology

To manufacture products electronically, LANXESS uses state-of-the-art computer-controlled automation systems. Our electronics technicians for automation technology are responsible for the smooth operation of these systems. The specialists monitor all measured values such as pressure, temperature or flow rate and ensure that the individual components form an automatically working overall system. Their area of responsibility and accountability ranges from the assembly of automation systems through maintenance to the elimination of faults.

• Set up and maintain electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic drive systems
• Assemble, configure and program sensor and operating systems
• Locate, analyze and rectify technical faults using special software
• Compliance with safety and environmental regulations in German and English
• Conduct test runs
