Educational Specialist for a Trauma-Pedagogical Outpost Residential Group

The trauma-pedagogical group of LVR-Jugendhilfe Rheinland at the Tönisvorst site offers six children aged 6-13 with stressful life experiences an outer safe place. The group works with the five pillars of trauma pedagogy.

• Actively shaping daily group life in a 24-hour shift system including night work
• Implementing the educational concept and the help and education planning
• Intensive educational support and care of the young people
• Educational and organizational responsibility for daily upbringing
• Planning educational activities
• Cooperation with caregivers, schools and authorities
• Appreciative treatment of the children and their families of origin

• Completed degree as a qualified social pedagogue or state recognition as an educator or comparable qualification
• Completed or begun certified additional qualification in trauma pedagogy
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Joy in working with children and young people and ability to self-reflect
• Motivating and appreciative communication
• Professional experience in residential youth welfare, experience caring for children and young people with significant behavioral problems
• Flexibility regarding working hours and workplace
• Car driving licence
