Disability Support Worker for Social Participation and Inclusion Support

At LVR-Verbund für WohnenPlusLeben in Viersen, you support adults with disabilities, help shape their daily lives and promote their participation in society. This permanent position is available full time or part time.

• Support adults with intellectual disabilities in daily life, provide basic personal care and help them develop in all areas of life.
• Provide ongoing support and build trusting relationships focused on life goals and development through support planning and social participation, involving relatives, legal guardians and service providers.
• Organise creative leisure activities and bring your hobbies into your work.
• Organise your work independently and contribute new ideas.
• Carry out an important social and public mission.

• State recognition as a disability support worker (all genders)
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and weekends.
• Ideally, previous experience supporting people with disabilities.
• Enjoy working closely with a team of people from different professions.
• Enjoy working with people and building lasting relationships.
• Creativity, responsibility, flexibility and the ability to work independently in daily tasks.
• Experience documenting support services.

• Proof of completed vocational training or university studies in German
• If you completed your vocational training or university studies abroad, include proof that your qualification has been assessed as equivalent or recognised by the responsible authority. For university degrees, this is the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB); for regulated vocational and university qualifications, it is the relevant district government.
