As a care assistant at an LVR special needs school, you support students with special needs in their daily school life. You help with daily care and basic nursing, in class, and during structured leisure activities. Your tasks include in particular: Basic nursing tasks such as feeding, conducting toilet training, and nursing accompaniment of students Support of organization and cleanliness systems in nursing Support in the daily routine of class groups where severely disabled students are cared for The activities as a care assistant are geared towards supportive nursing and care of various children in school operations. This differs from integration assistantships, which focus on the care of a single child. The performance of duties as a care assistant in our LVR schools is always characterized by interdisciplinary teamwork (educators, therapists, and nursing staff). Note: Vacation can only be taken during school holidays. The additional free time during school holidays is compensated by extra work during school weeks.

• Sensitivity in dealing with students with disabilities is not a foreign concept to you.
• Ideally, you already have professional experience in the nursing care of children and adolescents.
• You may have already acquired knowledge in the field of hygiene.
• You are not afraid to take responsibility.
• Your flexibility enables you to react confidently to changing priorities.
• Your resilience allows you to remain efficient and focused even in stressful situations.
• Through your teamwork skills, you foster a positive working atmosphere and actively support your colleagues in the joint and successful care of the children in your charge.
• You have a command of the German language (proven by a German school diploma, a B2 certificate, or an 'Integration Course Certificate') and are able to communicate clearly and precisely with children and adolescents with and without speech disorders.
• Note: Before signing an employment contract, proof of sufficient protection against measles must be provided in accordance with the Measles Protection Act (unless you were born before 1971 or are demonstrably not subject to the statutory vaccination obligation).
