About this Apprenticeship
As an educational specialist in individual assistance at the LVR-Verbund für WohnenPlusLeben, you play a central role in supporting people with disabilities. Fixed term for 1 year, full-time, pay according to S8b TVöD-SuE.
What You'll Learn
- Assistance and intensive support of a client with cognitive disabilities and challenging behaviour
- Developing and carrying out daily structure and support measures
- Accompanying the client on leisure activities, trips and activities on site
- Building trusting relationships within support planning for social participation
- Contributing professional expertise to the team, involving relatives, legal guardians and service providers
Requirements
- State recognition as social pedagogue, social worker, curative education nurse, curative pedagogue, rehabilitation pedagogue or educator (m/f/d)
- Ideally experience supporting people with cognitive disabilities
- You enjoy working hand in hand in a multiprofessional team
- You enjoy working with people and actively building lasting relationships
- You are creative, responsible, flexible and work independently
- Willingness to work afternoons and weekends
- Experience documenting support services
