Educational Specialist for Social Participation – Integration Assistance

As an educational specialist at the LVR-Verbund für WohnenPlusLeben in assisted living in the Mettmann district, you take a central role in accompanying and supporting people with disabilities. You actively shape the everyday life of the clients and take on responsibility. The main work takes place in the cities of Langenfeld, Hilden and Monheim. The position is permanent and part-time.

• Responsibility and relationship: You usually accompany people one-on-one by individual agreement and build trusting relationships within support planning and social participation, involving relatives, legal guardians and service providers.
• Varied tasks: Everyday support and encouragement of adults with intellectual disabilities in all areas of life.
• Experience-oriented and holistic work: You carry out creative leisure activities.
• Creative, self-determined work: You organise your work independently and have room for innovative ideas.
• Social relevance: You are part of an important social and political mission.

• State recognition as social pedagogue, social worker, curative education nurse, special education teacher, rehabilitation educator or childcare educator (m/f/d)
• Valid driver's licence class B
• Ideally you already have experience supporting people with disabilities.
• You enjoy working hand in hand in a multi-professional team.
• You enjoy working with people and actively building lasting relationships.
• You are creative, responsible, flexible and work independently in your daily work.
• You have experience documenting support services.
• You are willing to work rotating shifts and on weekends.
