About this Apprenticeship
As an Educational Specialist at the LVR Association for WohnenPlusLeben, you support and accompany people with disabilities, actively shape their daily lives and take on responsibility. Part-time, permanent, pay according to S8b TVöD-SuE, start as soon as possible.
What You'll Learn
- Everyday support and promotion of adults with intellectual disabilities in all areas of life
- Accompany people long-term and build trusting relationships, within support planning and social participation, involving relatives, legal guardians and service providers
- Carry out creative leisure activities
- Work independently and creatively with room for innovative ideas
Requirements
- State recognition as a social pedagogue, social worker, curative education nurse or educator (m/f/d)
- Enjoyment of working with people and building relationships
- Creativity, sense of responsibility and ability to work independently
- Experience documenting support services
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and weekends
- Willingness to actively learn and use German Sign Language
- Ideally experience working with people with intellectual disabilities
- Enjoyment of working in a multiprofessional team
- Flexibility and independence
