Working Student Supply Chain

The position holder is responsible for scheduling assigned products, components, and raw materials and monitoring/demanding actual delivery so that they are available in the right quantity and at the right time for downstream processes and/or the customer. This requires: acting conscientiously and with a holistic view within general guidelines; a high level of communication with multiple interfaces (e.g., order management, production control, production, logistics, service providers, suppliers); the ability to understand complex processes (e.g., supplier manufacturing processes, purchasing/procurement parameters, bills of materials, customer orders), identify errors there, and make or propose corrections; coordinating multiple parallel processes (e.g., supply chains via service providers, direct deliveries to customers); reacting flexibly to unexpected realities (e.g., delivery failures, quality issues, "rash actions").

• Manage master data: create and maintain purchasing agreements, purchase orders, item master data and EDI
• Plan materials under existing framework agreements with external suppliers and subsidiaries in Europe, America and Asia, taking orders, stock levels and production capacity into account; 95% of written and spoken communication is in English
• Reconcile orders with suppliers using open purchase order lines in D365, taking goods in sea, land and air transit and stock levels and targets into account; resolve differences by checking recorded goods receipts and supplier delivery details
• Track call-off order deadlines and proactively follow up deliveries for industrial, retail, export and automotive customer orders using D365 and, where needed, MS Excel for analysis and further processing; communicate delivery dates through suitable channels
• Escalate delivery difficulties within the department or through purchasing; arrange special transport or direct supplier deliveries in coordination with customer service, order management and production planning
