Retail Apprenticeship

Three year apprenticeship in DIY and garden retail at OBI in Bad Segeberg, with the option to shorten it for good performance. Work five days a week on different shifts during opening hours from Monday to Saturday, and attend vocational school in blocks or on set days.

• Product knowledge: Learn about our full DIY and garden range and later specialise in your preferred area
• Business operations: Learn about other areas, including checkouts, the service centre and incoming goods, to understand the business from the ground up
• Customer advice: Advise customers in store and find the right solution for each request
• Stock management: Learn how to order goods and present products effectively
• Digital customer service: Answer enquiries through our app, email and messaging services
• Project work: Carry out varied store projects with the team and gain experience during apprentice project week or our two week apprentice run store

• School qualification: You have a lower or intermediate secondary school qualification or Abitur before the apprenticeship starts
• Customer focus: You enjoy working with people and have an open manner
• Enthusiasm: You are motivated to take on varied tasks and a varied daily routine
• Communication skills: You can express yourself clearly in person and online and are willing to actively advise customers and sell products
