Dual Study Program - Retail Management (Bachelor of Arts)

Study and apply the content directly in practice! Start your dual study program with us and acquire sound theoretical knowledge to actively shape and optimize processes in everyday work. You have the choice of our six partner universities (DHBW Mannheim, DHBW Heidenheim, DHBW Stuttgart, DHBW Heilbronn, DHGE Eisenach and HWR Berlin), and you decide on your preferred university during the application process. The framework conditions: You work five days a week in various shifts within our opening hours (Monday to Saturday). You attend your chosen partner university in blocks to acquire the necessary theoretical knowledge and prepare well for exams.

Retail knowledge – You intensively familiarize yourself with the areas of sales, assortment and processes to build a broad retail knowledge Customer consultation – Competent advice to our customers on site in the store and handling of digital customer inquiries Operational support – You actively support our department heads in daily tasks and directly contribute to the store's success Further education – Use the diverse further education opportunities offered by OBI to continuously expand your knowledge Contribute ideas – Actively bring in your own ideas, because we meet at eye level and value your opinion Independent working style – You work independently on your tasks while maintaining close exchange with store management Practical projects – You gain valuable experience during our apprentice project week or in our two-week apprentice store

School-leaving qualification: You have successfully completed your (technical) high school diploma (Abitur/Fachabitur) by the start of studies Engagement & Communication: You are open, committed, actively approach people and shine together as a team Sense of responsibility: You gradually take on more responsibility, are assertive and ambitious Mobility & Flexibility: You are open to assignments in various stores in your region Passion for retail: You have a strong enthusiasm for retail; ideally you already have some experience (part-time job/internship)
