Internship Vehicle Dynamics Characteristics Tuning

The team shapes the handling characteristics of Porsche vehicles, from vehicle dynamics and longitudinal dynamics to ride comfort. The goal is the unmistakable "Porsche signature". To achieve it, innovative vehicle dynamics systems such as steering, chassis, brake control, all-wheel systems and longitudinal dynamics functions are simulated and applied. Start: March/April & September/October.

• Help with tuning function scopes in the driving system
• Planning and carrying out measurements on the test bench and in the vehicle
• Analysis of measurement and simulation results, supported by tool-based evaluation routines
• Derivation of courses of action (e.g. data or software changes)
• Control unit programming and troubleshooting in pre-series vehicles
• Support in preparing test vehicles and testing
• Simulation of driving characteristics and virtual modelling of relevant driving maneuvers

• A place at university in an engineering degree program focusing on vehicle technology, mechatronics, control engineering or a comparable program
• A strong affinity for cars, ideally with good knowledge of vehicle dynamics and chassis technology
• Analytical and logical thinking
• Ideally first experience with the simulation tool Matlab/Simulink
• An independent and structured way of working
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Confident use of MS Office
• Class B driving licence
