Training as a Nursing Care Assistant 2027

The 18-month training programme for nursing care assistants starts on 2027-08-01 at the Dresden Academy and at locations in Coswig, Radeburg and Großenhain. The training offers varied practical placements in different areas of healthcare.

Supporting qualified nursing staff in their daily work Helping patients with daily personal hygiene and eating Promoting patients’ wellbeing and listening to their concerns Checking and documenting patients’ pulse, blood pressure, breathing and temperature Accompanying patients to examinations and treatments

Lower secondary school-leaving certificate or another recognised equivalent qualification Alternatively, a successfully completed vocational qualification Proof of medical fitness through a doctor’s certificate and proof of measles vaccination Spoken and written German at least at B2 level Empathy and compassion Careful and responsible approach

Free, varied 18-month training programme Training pay of €1,400 gross in the first year and €1,450 gross in the second year Varied practical placements in hospitals, outpatient and inpatient care, as well as hospice care, rehabilitation, psychiatry and paediatrics 30 days of vacation per calendar year Good public transport connections
