Dual Study Programme in Industrial Engineering and Purchasing Starting in 2027

Full-time dual study programme at Pierburg GmbH in Neuss focusing on purchasing. Over 4.5 years, earn a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and learn about purchasing, business development, procurement management and contract management. The programme starts on 1 September 2027.

• Gain extensive knowledge of purchasing, business development, procurement management and contract management
• Build a basic understanding of procurement processes from sourcing to the end of production
• Learn how to support processing activities using modern purchasing tools
• Coordinate with departments such as sales, accounting, logistics, quality, production and controlling
• Learn how to contribute to international projects and projects across group departments
• Identify and achieve potential price savings
• Assess manufacturing processes and materials from both technical and commercial perspectives during procurement
• Learn how to identify, manage and resolve supply chain bottlenecks
• Manage purchasing projects by coordinating within purchasing, with other departments such as sales, accounting, manufacturing, controlling and engineering, and with external suppliers

• A good school leaving qualification, with very good grades in the Fachhochschulreife or Abitur
• You find mathematics and science easy, as rearranging formulas and basic arithmetic are essential parts of your training
• You have good spoken and written German and English skills
• You enjoy technology, complex tasks and understanding how things connect
• You have a strong interest in combining business and technology
• You already have some experience using MS Office programs, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• You have analytical thinking skills and are reliable
• You are comfortable taking responsibility and working independently
