Embedded Hardware Developer

Develop electronic hardware for sensor and electronics modules used in ammunition and weapon systems at Rheinmetall Waffe Munition GmbH in Neuss - Niederrhein plant. Full-time role with a permanent contract.

• Develop electronic circuits for sensor and electronics modules used in ammunition and weapon systems
• Create complex circuit diagrams and designs for analog and digital circuits
• Create circuit board layouts with controlled impedance, electromagnetic compatibility and suitable thermal design
• Investigate design concepts and carry out feasibility studies
• Create design guidelines for HDI circuit board layouts and high-speed connectors

• Completed degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering or mechatronics, with 5 years of professional experience
• Strong knowledge of circuit and layout design and their effects on electromagnetic compatibility, manufacturing and testing
• Confident use of circuit simulation tools such as LTSpice and PSPice, as well as Altium Designer
• Knowledge of Ansys simulation tools (HFSS, Q3D) or CST Microwave Studio is desirable
• Knowledge of signal and power integrity simulation (SI/PI) for high-speed data connections and circuit boards up to 10 GHz and above
• Basic knowledge of radar systems; FPGA design knowledge is desirable
• Experience in image processing and sensor fusion is desirable
• A high degree of flexibility and creativity, with a proactive, analytical, systematic and solution-focused approach
