About this Apprenticeship
In this position, you ensure that our ships reliably meet all EMC requirements, from the concept phase to testing on board. Full-time, permanent contract.
What You'll Learn
- In close coordination with the client, you define and specify the project-specific EMC requirements and ensure their implementation in line with standards.
- Based on your expertise, you develop EMC-compliant design specifications and determine the system arrangement of components on board (above and below deck).
- You draw up clear technical guidelines for internal departments and external subcontractors with the aim of avoiding electromagnetic interference early and clearly defining interfaces.
- For technical questions about electromagnetic compatibility, you advise and support neighboring departments and contribute your expertise in a solution-oriented way.
- You take an active part in technical working groups with the client, represent your topics competently and support project-specific implementation.
- You independently plan, organize and technically support EMC tests and measurements on board and assess the results for compliance with the requirements.
- You carry out EMC analyses and simulations with modern tools such as Ansys Electronics Desktop and derive well-founded assessments. A checking look at the construction specification ensures that all electromagnetic influences and interfaces of the system are correctly considered and represented. Continuous maintenance of all relevant data in the ERP, PLM and CAD systems ensures transparency and traceability.

- Completed degree (Bachelor/Master) in electrical engineering or a comparable qualification
- Sound knowledge of national and international EMC regulations and relevant naval construction regulations
