Welder

Rheinmetall Protection Systems GmbH is looking for a welder (m/f/d) at the Niederrhein plant in Neuss. Tasks include welding and assembling protective assemblies according to drawings using the MAG process. Full-time, permanent contract.

• Fusion welding to prepare and weld welded assemblies according to drawings
• Assembly of simple to complex protective assemblies according to drawings
• Welding the protective assemblies using the MAG welding process
• Carrying out final production inspection and creating documentation as specified within worker self-inspection
• Also working as a floater (m/f/d) between different trades in the welding technology department
• Setting up, operating and maintaining devices, tools and machines
• Aligning assemblies
• Possibly carrying out non-destructive material testing

• Training in an industrial-technical trade, preferably as a fusion welder (m/f/d), industrial mechanic (m/f/d) or metal worker (m/f/d), or similar professions
• Extensive experience in processing high-strength fine-grain steels
• Implementation and assembly of assemblies according to the drawings provided
• Good knowledge of the MSG process (high-strength structural steels above 3mm sheet thickness)
• Ideally current, valid test certificates according to ISO 9606-1 in MAG welding FM2/FM5 as well as experience in automated welding processes
• Additional knowledge in worker self-inspection and non-destructive testing PT, MT and/or VT with a valid certificate is desirable
• Confident German speaking and reading skills
• Willingness to work shifts
