Systems Engineer for Naval Ships – Integration of Communication Systems

You make sure communication systems are integrated optimally into naval ships: in terms of space, function and at the highest technical level. Position at NVL B.V. & Co. KG in Hamburg, Lemwerder, full-time, permanent.

• Create technical inquiry and order specifications, working closely with internal departments and external partners (subcontractors, authorities)
• Clarify all interfaces between the combat management systems and external systems
• Prepare test specifications as well as acceptance, handover and commissioning at the subcontractor or on the ship

• A completed degree in engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable qualification
• Experience integrating complex systems, ideally in naval shipbuilding
• Knowledge of naval construction regulations and understanding of the specific requirements of modern naval ships
• Teamwork, independent working style and willingness to travel occasionally (domestic and abroad)
• Strong communication skills in German and English
• Optional: professional experience with or at the German Navy
• Optional: security clearance Ü2 or willingness to obtain it
