System Design Engineer

Take responsibility for complex electromechanical systems from idea to commissioning at Rheinmetall Electronics GmbH in Bremen, working closely with internal teams, customers and external partners. Full-time, permanent contract.

• Developing and designing electromechanical systems while meeting quality, schedule and cost targets
• Creating mechanical design system concepts, architectures and effort estimates based on higher-level requirements
• Planning, steering and monitoring all development phases including documentation, integration and commissioning
• Technical leadership and coordination of a small design development team as well as assigning and steering work packages
• Working with customers, suppliers and external service providers, including writing specifications and taking part in acceptance tests
• Identifying optimization potential and continuously developing the systems you are responsible for

• Completed technical degree (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Mechatronics)
• Several years, ideally many years, of design experience in machine or plant engineering
• Experience in project management
• Very good knowledge of 3D CAD (preferably Siemens NX) and confident use of MS Office
• Very good English skills, spoken and written
• Structured, independent and goal-oriented way of working with strong communication and teamwork skills
