Infrastructure Specialist – Engineering Platforms

TKMS ATLAS ELEKTRONIK is part of the TKMS Group and offers navies worldwide comprehensive solutions in sensors and electronics. An Infrastructure Specialist for engineering platforms is sought for the Bremen site. Full-time, permanent.

• Ensure administration, configuration and continuous optimization of the complex engineering infrastructure and application systems
• Ensure stable provision and lifecycle management of Linux-based operating system landscapes and implement hardening requirements to defend against internal and external threats
• Support the integration of modern container platforms and provide the infrastructure resources required for them
• Maintain technical documentation of the interfaces to central IT, support change processes and analyze their effects on performance and availability
• Systematically review the central IT service portfolio, prefer central IT basic services following the "Standard-before-Build" principle, and handle complex incidents as third-level support together with hardware vendors

• Completed degree in computer science/systems engineering or comparable technical training, plus several years of professional experience in IT infrastructure
• Expert knowledge in administering enterprise server hardware (e.g. HPE, Dell), storage systems and virtualization technologies including related management tools
• Deep understanding of enterprise network services (DNS, DHCP, IPAM), network protocols, security concepts (firewalls, VLANs, certificate management) and secure administration of Linux distributions (RHEL, SLES, Debian), plus solid Bash/Python scripting skills
• Experience with central IT service management, ability to coordinate requirements and interfaces efficiently, analytical and structured working, and a cool head in critical incident situations
• Very good German and English skills, spoken and written, and flexibility for occasional national and international business trips
