About this Apprenticeship

At Bosch, we shape the future with high-quality technologies and services that inspire enthusiasm and improve people's lives. Our promise to our employees is rock-solid: we grow together, enjoy our work and inspire each other. Welcome to Bosch. Robert Bosch GmbH looks forward to your application! Become part of our Vehicle Motion Logistic Innovation team: We identify, validate and implement groundbreaking innovations in our VM production plants worldwide. Our focus is on automation and digitalization, including mobile robots (AGVs/AMRs), sensor technology, intelligent warehouses and applied AI projects. We bridge the gap between modern technology and shopfloor logistics.

What You'll Learn

  • During your internship, you will support the international rollout of Industrial IoT (IIoT) devices (e.g. sensors and electronic displays / ESL) in our production plants
  • You will support the recording of site-specific requirements and evaluate operational needs together with the local plant teams
  • In addition, you will help with the creation of business cases, cost-benefit analyses and the evaluation of feasibility for new use cases
  • You will support the technical configuration, scripting and integration of devices (using APIs and JavaScript)
  • You will also carry out functional tests, support error analysis and create user-friendly setup instructions and documentation for the plant teams
  • Finally, you will coordinate and communicate remotely with cross-functional plant teams worldwide (no travel required)

Requirements

  • Education: Degree in industrial engineering, computer science, business informatics, logistics, supply chain management or comparable
  • Experience and knowledge: Basic understanding of how sensors and electronic shelf label displays (ESL) work; practical programming and scripting experience, especially with REST APIs and JavaScript; understanding of logistics processes, especially internal transport and material flow
  • Personality and work style: You are characterized by driving projects with high motivation, analyzing complex topics systematically and organizing your tasks independently
  • Work routine: We offer you the opportunity to work in a hybrid setup
  • Languages: Good knowledge of English and German

What Robert Bosch GmbH offers
