Mandatory Internship in Development of Health-Conscious Bidirectional Charging Algorithm for State of Health

• During your internship, you will familiarize yourself with the topic of State-of-Health (SOH)-aware Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) charging. This involves optimizing charging/discharging costs of batteries while considering battery aging.
• You will design and develop an embedded-capable algorithm for optimizing battery charging based on SOH models. This includes creating a simplified State-of-Health model and implementing optimization strategies.
• Furthermore, you will build a simulation environment in MATLAB/Simulink to test and validate your algorithm.
• In addition, you will document your work, including developed algorithms, simulation results, and insights.
• Last but not least, you will actively participate in team discussions and regularly present your progress.

• Education: Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience and Knowledge: Good understanding of control engineering concepts and practices; strong mathematical background; Programming experience, ideally with MATLAB Simulink
• Personality and Work Style: You are a motivated, proactive team player with conceptual thinking skills, ability to express ideas clearly, and ability to work both independently and in a structured manner
• Work Routine: On-site presence required
• Languages: Negotiation-proficient English or German
