Senior Engineer, EWS Wafer Testing for Test Chips

Robert Bosch Semiconductor Manufacturing Dresden GmbH is seeking a senior engineer for EWS wafer testing of test chips in Dresden. This permanent, full-time role covers testing and characterization solutions for SRAM and other test chips, technology transfer, and improvements in reliability, quality and yield. The start date is by agreement.

• As a senior engineer for EWS wafer testing of test chips, you are responsible for providing testing and characterization solutions for SRAM and other test chips to enable rapid technology transfer and prompt improvements in reliability, quality and yield.
• Within transfer and development projects, you manage the development or transfer of wafer test programs for test chips and test structures from test development to the Dresden fab, prepare their use in the laboratory or handover to production, and take responsibility for their content.
• When needed, you create or modify test programs for technology and reliability characterization yourself.
• Using data analysis results, you electrically characterize test failures to identify causes in test conditions, technology or circuit design, and actively contribute your findings and expertise to project teams.
• Based on your analyses, you identify suitable test conditions for fault localization or work with the relevant departments to improve the technology, test program or design.
• You serve as the expert contact for series production on projects to improve reliability, quality and yield, and on complex questions concerning test programs and test hardware.

• Completed technical university degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Physics or a comparable subject
• Several years of experience in PCM or wafer testing or in characterizing semiconductor devices, good knowledge of analog and digital circuit technology, a basic understanding of current ASIC and MEMS technologies, a very good understanding of test programming, test content and statistical analysis methods, and ideally basic programming skills in a scripting language such as Python and experience in C/C++
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure, strong communication skills, very good organizational and problem-solving skills, and a strong focus on quality
• Good spoken and written German and English
