Professional Software Quality and Automation Engineer

As a Software Quality and Automation Engineer at Rohde & Schwarz in Haiger, you automate and verify complex software to ensure the quality of our products. Full-time, permanent.

• You automate and verify complex software by designing, specifying and orchestrating tests to ensure the quality of our products.
• You help define and build test environments, integrate external systems, automate tests and develop mocks and test drivers.
• You work closely with developers to integrate tests early and efficiently in the development process and secure requirements through automation.
• You analyze test results and adapt test cases when products change.
• You support and contribute your experience in carrying out non-functional tests (e.g. load and performance tests).
• Together with other quality engineers, you actively contribute to the continuous improvement of test processes.

• You have a completed degree in computer science or a comparable qualification and want to build software with real impact.
• You bring at least 3 years of experience in software quality assurance or in developing complex software.
• You have experience with modern scripting languages, especially Python, test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Squish and Testbench, CI/CD pipelines and test management systems.
• An affinity for AI-assisted programming sets you apart, e.g. through prompt engineering, using LLMs for test data generation or intelligent troubleshooting.
• A solution-oriented, team-oriented, self-responsible and agile mindset combined with strong communication and mentoring skills sets you apart.
• Very good German and English skills, spoken and written, round off your profile.
