Development Engineer Hardware Verification and Test Architecture

You design test architectures for military software-defined radios and thus ensure quality that counts in action.

• You design modular, scalable test environments and test frameworks for the latest generation of military software-defined radios (SDR) and continuously develop them further.
• You analyze technical requirements for their testability and actively support module design so that Design for Test (DfT) is considered from the concept phase.
• You lead verification and commissioning of complex hardware modules, working with high-precision measuring equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators and spectrum analyzers.
• You develop high-performance test software for SoC systems (bare-metal and embedded Linux) and implement drivers and low-level software on microcontrollers.
• You design and implement automated hardware test suites that noticeably advance efficiency and quality assurance.
• You work closely with the software, firmware, hardware and system integration teams and technically manage external suppliers and partners.

• You have successfully completed a degree in Technical Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
• You have practical experience in hardware-related software development and hardware validation, ideally in safety-critical or military environments.
• You master Python for test frameworks and automation as well as ideally C/C++ for embedded and low-level development and have initial experience with embedded Linux distributions.
• You have experience in handling complex electrical measuring instruments and a pronounced understanding of circuit analysis.
• You have already designed test frameworks and know modern test automation strategies from practice.
• You work independently and structured, are a true team player, communicate clearly and assert yourself with good arguments.
• You are willing to travel internationally to support external partners.
• Very good German and English skills in word and writing complete your profile.
