Data Scientist Inhouse Consulting

As a data scientist at the headquarters in Burgwedel, you expand the Inhouse Consulting team's ability to work in a data-driven way. You can expect plenty of room to shape things, short decision paths and the chance to drive new topics independently. Full-time, permanent.

• Data science in the department: You work directly in interdisciplinary teams in Inhouse Consulting on questions that move the company. You structure the path to the solution independently, in regular exchange with sparring partners in the department and IT.
• Turning data into value: You analyze large amounts of data and identify patterns, connections and potential that serve as a basis for sound business decisions.
• Bridge between department and IT: You independently build first POCs for data-driven solutions in exchange with the end user. For larger implementations, you support further development together with internal IT teams.
• Driving new ideas: You examine new use cases in data science, validate their benefit and pilot innovative approaches.
• Sparring with the business: You work with our project managers, closely with other departments and our stores, translate their requirements into data-driven solutions and help implement them in operational processes.
• Shaping independently: You contribute your own ideas and actively shape the development of data-driven working methods. You set your own structure and request help on your own initiative.

• Experience: Several years of professional experience in data science or a comparable data-driven role.
• Python: Very good Python skills and experience analyzing and preparing complex data sets.
• Communication: Strong communication, stakeholder management and the ability to explain complex topics simply.
• Curiosity: A hands-on mentality, curiosity about new technologies and willingness to keep improving existing things.
• Self-responsibility: Enjoying a varied work environment with changing topics and a lot of personal responsibility.
• Pragmatism: As a representative of the department, you watch solution quality but also find good compromises on development time and maintainability.
• Retail: Experience in retail is an advantage but not a must.
