Apprentice Environmental Technologist for Wastewater Management

To meet this great responsibility, we operate more than 800 technical facilities – including dams, wastewater treatment plants, and sewer networks – and develop efficient solutions for sustainable resource management.

Maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment; Electrical work (e.g., connecting machines); Chemical wastewater analysis (laboratory analytics); Monitoring of measurement, control, and regulation technology of the wastewater treatment plant; Troubleshooting; Wastewater drainage and rainwater management; Sustainable energy generation

A good school diploma, technical college entrance qualification (Fachoberschulreife) desired; Interest in mathematics, physics, biology, and chemistry; Manual skills; Technical understanding; Spatial imagination; Willingness to learn and perform; Teamwork; Problem-solving readiness; Initiative; Good general education and good manners; Local flexibility (area of operation mainly eastern and southern Sauerland); Very good German skills (minimum C1 level)

Secure apprenticeship with a public-law employer; Collective wage agreement according to TVAöD (1,368.26 euros in the first training year); Collective annual special payment according to TVAöD; Ticket subsidy of 15 euros; 39-hour week; 33 days vacation; 5 additional vacation days before the final examination
