Village Caretaker Assistant

SOS Children's Villages Germany. Assist with caretaker repair and maintenance work in buildings and facilities; ensure cleanliness and safety in buildings and on the SOS Children's Village grounds including groundskeeping; prepare and follow up on events (e.g. room preparation) and provide technical and organisational support for events (e.g. open days, summer festivals); driving and messenger services and assistance with event preparation and execution; winter service with gritting and snow clearing on the SOS Children's Village grounds; conscientious implementation of child and ward protection; friendly point of contact for staff, children, visitors and service providers

Ideally you have completed vocational training in a skilled trade – alternatively you bring relevant professional experience in gardening and landscaping, as a painter or varnisher or in a comparable skilled trade; you are characterised by manual dexterity, clear reliability and service orientation and enjoy working independently; you bring flexibility, teamwork and organisational skills to your daily work; your approach to proximity and distance with those in your care is professional and aligns with the core values of our children's village; you hold a valid Class B car driving licence
