Training as a Nursing Professional - Start 1 April 2027

Training to become a nursing professional, combining theoretical instruction at the education centre in Elmshorn with varied practical placements at the Elmshorn and Pinneberg hospitals and partner organisations.

Supporting people in need with personal care, dressing and undressing, and eating; measuring and monitoring vital signs; advising, instructing and supporting people requiring care and their relatives; assessing care needs and planning, organising, delivering and documenting care; working across professional disciplines; initiating life-saving first-aid measures; carrying out medically prescribed measures and supporting diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and crisis and disaster response.

Empathy, motivation, teamwork and a strong personality; enjoyment of and a sense of responsibility when working with ill people of all ages and their relatives; a Realschulabschluss or, alternatively, a lower secondary school certificate with at least two years of vocational training or one year of training as a nursing assistant in healthcare or elderly care; B2 language certificate and a school-leaving certificate recognised in Germany.
