Thesis - Electromagnetic and Thermal Design of E-Motors

Thesis at Schaeffler on the electromagnetic and thermal design of electric motors. This position is to be filled from February 2027.

• Helping to develop new concepts and approaches for the electromagnetic and thermal design of E-motors
• Getting familiar with new development methods for designing E-motors
• Support in testing and validating the methods in the near-series development process
• Helping to document the work results

• A confidentiality agreement from Schaeffler signed by the university supervisor, plus proof of enrollment
• Studies in electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering or a comparable degree program
• Very good German skills and good written and spoken English skills
• First experience in designing electric motors desirable
• Experience with FEM simulation is an advantage
• Enthusiasm for applications in the electric drive system
• Independent and structured way of working
