Working Student Measurement of Electric Small Drives

The assignment takes place on-site at our cooperation office SHARE at KIT (Schaeffler Hub for Advanced Research) in Karlsruhe. • Planning, execution, evaluation, and documentation of experiments in the field of electric small drives
• Investigation of permanent magnet synchronous machines on a test bench
• Development and description of new test procedures and measurement sequences in simulation and practice using rapid control prototyping
• Evaluation and analysis of measurements as well as improvement of existing evaluation methods for creation of technical documentation
• Collaboration with other departments and specialist areas within the company to coordinate requirements and industry-related specifications

• Ongoing studies in electrical engineering, information technology, or mechatronics (especially specializations in electric machines, power electronics, electronics)
• Knowledge and practical experience in handling measurement technology in electronics lab as well as initial experience in BLDC motors desirable
• Basics in control of electric drives advantageous
• Proficient use of MS Office
• Very good German or English skills written and spoken
• Independent and structured working style as well as good communication skills
