About this Apprenticeship
Internship at Schaeffler in Karlsruhe, right on the KIT campus (Company on Campus). You work between industrial development and university research on automated mobility. The position starts on 1 November 2026 for 6 months.
What You'll Learn
- Contribute to exciting research projects in automated mobility
- Support the design of a software architecture for automated driving, including interface development
- Independently develop AD software components for environment perception and motion planning
- Test automated driving functions in a demonstrator vehicle
- Create technical documentation, graphics and presentations
Requirements
- Proof of enrollment at the time of the internship
- Studies in mechatronics, electrical engineering, computer science or a comparable degree program
- Basic understanding of automation concepts
- Solid knowledge of software development, especially object-oriented programming, version control and container solutions such as Docker
- Confident use of Linux-based operating systems
- Experience in the programming languages Python and C++
- Fluent German and English, spoken and written
- Independent, structured and responsible way of working
- Strong communication and organizational skills
