Customer Service Specialist

Customer Service Specialist based in Eschershausen, handling international orders for SCHOTT specialty glass products in close cooperation with production planning, logistics, customers and sales.

• Handle and coordinate customer enquiries, quotations and orders in close cooperation with sales and internal departments
• Agree delivery dates and capacity with production planning to ensure reliable order processing
• Maintain and monitor customer orders and master data in SAP
• Organise and handle shipping processes, including coordination with freight forwarders and logistics providers
• Communicate with international customers, sales teams and SCHOTT sites worldwide, mainly in English
• Handle complaints and coordinate suitable solutions with the relevant teams
• Prepare forecasts and reports and support sales planning and management processes
• Help improve processes and carry out organisational tasks in a changing international setting

• Completed commercial vocational training
• Initial experience in customer service, internal sales, order processing or a similar administrative role
• Very good SAP skills as a key basis for daily work
• Good English skills for written and telephone communication in an international setting
• Confident use of Microsoft 365 applications
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment of working with customers, sales and internal departments
• A structured, careful and service-focused approach to work
