About this Apprenticeship
At SCHOTT, you will learn to make precision parts using conventional and CNC machine tools. The apprenticeship starts on 1 September 2027, lasts 3.5 years and can be shortened if you perform well. Vocational school classes take place in Ingelheim.
What You'll Learn
- You receive thorough basic training in metalworking
- You make parts for machines, equipment and systems to precise shapes and dimensions using conventional or CNC machine tools
- You programme computer-controlled machine tools
- You plan and organise manufacturing processes
- You service and maintain machines
Requirements
- You have at least a Mittlere Reife, a German intermediate secondary school qualification.
- You enjoy mathematics, physics, practical crafts and technology.
- You should be willing to work occasional shifts.
