Apprenticeship: Machine and Plant Operator

Machine and plant operators set up, commission, operate, modify and maintain production machinery and equipment. The two-year apprenticeship covers workplace setup, manufacturing processes, component assembly, technical maintenance and electrical control components.

Set up workstations; organize and monitor manufacturing and production processes; produce and assemble components and assemblies; repair technical systems; test and expand electrical control components; set up, commission, operate, modify and maintain machinery and equipment.

Lower or intermediate secondary school qualification with good grades in mathematics and physics; good fine-motor skills; good spatial awareness; ability to work in a team and willingness to perform.
