You design and develop tools, fixtures, machines and systems for our production taking into account function, economy, quality and occupational safety; you create technical concepts, 3D CAD models, assemblies, individual parts, drawings and parts lists for new and existing tools; you select mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and automation components and design them according to technical requirements; you manage projects from requirements analysis through design and procurement to assembly, testing, commissioning and handover to production; you coordinate technical solutions with production, industrial engineering, quality, maintenance, purchasing and assembly as well as with external suppliers and service providers; you check technical feasibility and consider manufacturing, assembly, testing, maintenance and safety requirements already in the design phase; you analyze technical problems and optimize existing machines, systems and tools regarding process reliability, quality, ergonomics, cycle time, maintenance friendliness, standardization and costs; you create and maintain technical documentation such as design documents, functional descriptions, parts lists, change statuses and release documents; you support trials, prototype constructions and function tests and implement necessary technical adjustments; you ensure compliance with relevant standards, guidelines, safety requirements and internal standards, particularly with regard to CE, declaration of incorporation and machinery directive

You have a technical education or further training in design, mechanical engineering, automation technology or tooling technology; you have several years of experience in the independent development and design of tools, machines and automation solutions; you have experience in implementing automation projects; you have good CAD skills, ideally in Solid Edge or a comparable system; you have good knowledge of technical drawings, materials and manufacturing processes as well as experience with parts lists and technical documentation; you know the requirements for safety-relevant and normative topics in the machine environment; you have good German language skills in word and writing
